A 'charter' is the grant of authority or rights stating that the granter (State of Mississippi) formally recognizes the prerogative of the recipient (SLHO) to exercise the rights specified and provides the primary rules governing the management of the corporation.

  • The SLHO Charter of Incorporation was approved by the Mississippi Secretary of State, Heber Ladner, and signed by the Governor, William Waller, on September 18th, 1972.

  • This charter authorized the corporation to be a perpetual, nonprofit civic improvement with 18 rights and powers and no shares of stock.
